Faith is a part of my life, and there was never any doubt in my mind that Operation Morning Glory would be a faith-centered book.
God is such an important part of my family’s life that I had to make Him a part of Maggie and Craig’s lives. Each day, something happens that causes us to stop and pray for someone. We learn that someone is sick or that a fire has broken out somewhere, and I stop and pray. Maggie and Craig have the same attitude toward prayer.
Church has always inspired Maggie and Craig to grow closer to God. In the first book, Madam President: Unlikely Candidate, we learn about the loss of their child and how Maggie forgave the person driving the vehicle that killed her. That takes a tremendous amount of faith.
Faith in God has also strengthened Maggie and Craig’s love for each other. They value the same things in life: God, family, and friends. What could be better?
Their love is strong, and so is their family. We all say and do things we shouldn’t, and Maggie and Craig are no exception. However, we have God on our side, and we can ask for forgiveness. That makes a marriage and a family stronger.
Maggie and Craig inspire the people around them to trust in God. Cynthia and Fred are building a strong marriage, as are Loretta and Kenneth.
When this book is released, I pray it will inspire you in some way. Love is at the heart of this book—love for God and love for others. I pray that love shines in your heart.
