This book is finished and is being edited. Each time I finish a book, I tell myself I love the characters in that book more than any I’ve written. That is until the next book.
Operation Morning Glory is the second in the Madam President Series. I loved Maggie Culbertson from the moment I created her in Unlikely Candidate. She’s still the same in this book, but she has a hard decision to make.
Maggie remains rooted in her faith in God, and she’s President of the United States now. She and Craig are still in love with each other, and their love has grown deeper with each year. Her family and friends are important to her, but she has this one big decision to make.
Eight men are captured in the Middle East by a terrorist group. One of the eight is her son, Charles, There are three girls who are brutally assaulted, one man in the group vanished, and two professors were killed. Did Charles vanish in thin air, or is he among the captives?
Maggie, Craig, Secret Service Agents Kenneth Anderson and Harvey Haris are asked to join an elite group of sharp-shooters to rescue the men and kill the terrorists. With Maggie and Craig’s skills in marksmanship, can they do it? Can they kill another human? It’s easy to hit a paper target, but a human?
What if Charles escaped before the others were captured? What if he is a captive and the terrorists know who he is? Will they kill him because of who is mother is? Will God forgive them for killing other humans?
This is the hardest decision Maggie will ever make. Can she kill to save her son and other mother’s sons? Is it murder? Can she do it? Will God forgive her?
