GRASS IS BEAUTIFUL AFTER A SNOW

We now see grass, and it looks wonderful, even if it is brown. We know it’s there. Spring is in the air in Kentucky.

Today is a writing day. The first thing is this newsletter. I’m working on the second book in the “Madam, President” series. This one is “Underground.” Maggie has gone into a bunker, hence the title, “Underground.” Someone is trying to turn over the government, and eight people have been kidnapped. If you read, “Unlikely Candidate”, you know Maggie will do all she can to get the Americans back.

I have two more books in my mind, not counting the “Nothing Shady Ever Happens In Shady Valley” series. My granddaughter teaches kindergarten and wants me to write a children’s book. When my children were small, I told them a story about Dino the dinosaur.

The next book will be about Peter, through the eyes of his wife. We don’t know her name, but she will have one. Can you image what she could have said when he came home and told her he denied Christ? If you have any ideas, let me know. I’m really struggling with a title.

This is my birthday week, and I will be 85 and loving it! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d live to be 85. My parents were both in their 90s when they passed. They had been married for 68 years. We will be married 63 years Sunday.

Next week is our anniversary. Jerry and I have been together so long, that it is almost impossible to remember a time without him beside me. He is a jewel for sure. We’ve been through a lot together, and I thank God, He put him in my life. I could not have made it with anyone else.

We have been blessed with three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. We’ve had our share of heartaches, but it’s been a good life. God is the center of our life, and I’m so glad He’s there when we need him.

Have a wonderful week.

You all look really good Kathy. I will always remember what a friend you all were to me. I should tell you also that last month, my only son-in-law was found dead in his car, no apparent reason, no file. We have really had a difficult time dealing with this, as he was, indeed a part of this family. However, each day, each moment, God is keeping us. Please pray for us when you think of it.

  2. Happy Birthday, Kathy! And Happy Anniversary to you and Jerry! Wishing you much joy and many blessings! It’s not spring yet here in New York, but we’re experiencing a February thaw.
