Enjoying Life

Life is too short for anyone not to enjoy it. My advice to everyone is to enjoy what makes you happy. Do something that makes you happy. Something that will relax you and make you happy. We need those memories when we have the rough days ahead.

Recently, we visited our great-grandchildren who live in Middle Tennessee. Our grandchildren are adults, and we have two great-grandchildren. When you don’t have small grandchildren, you forget what it’s like. We have two little girls, Piper is 2 1/2 and Maggie is 14 months. Piper is at the right age, where everything is new to her. She is enjoying doing things and learning things, and we’re very excited to see what happens to her in the future. Maggie is another story. She’s still small and cuddly, and we have enjoyed her so much.

Children do not have to have expensive gifts. Piper has a “Coffee Shop” in a pasteboard box. Her mom wrote a menu on the flap and a keypad to pay for your coffee. Several times during the day, Piper played coffee shop with us. When she became tired, she pulled the flaps down and rested in the box.

Life is short, but our memories are always with us. We don’t see our great-grandchildren that much, but when we do, we enjoy them.

My most enjoyable thing is writing. I’ve been doing it for several years, and a lot of my ideas come from life experience. My current work-in-progress at this time is the last book in the “Nothing Shady Ever Happens in Shady Valley” series. The title of this book is “Murder and Goat Yoga”, and I’m about to run out of crimes in Shady Valley.

Since I began losing my eyesight, I have had difficulty in writing. I am so thankful to find ways with my Apple devices to both read and write. If you have trouble with your vision, there are ways on a Mac to both read and write. I have written this by speaking the words instead of using the keyboard. And the best thing about this is you can put your own punctuation in as you go.

I hope you have enjoyed this little story. I’m very proud of my grandchildren and my great grandchildren.

You can purchase my books on Amazon.

Have a blessed day.
