Did you ever have an idea that will not leave your mind? I did. A couple of years ago, I thought, could a Christian woman run for President of the US and win? I was like a dog with a bone. I could not let that idea go.
We have a friend who ran for a state office, and he wa my go-to-person. I learned a lot from Keith Travis. It was enough for me to get started on my road to President, and Magnolia Louise Masters Culbertson was born.
You have to have a sense of humor to run for any office, or to do anything. Maggie had that humorous vein in her body. She is a strong woman, a woman of faith, and wants to help those less fortunate. She has a big heart, a helping heart.
Maggie is married to Craig, and they have two children, Cynthia and Charles. She and Craig live in Possum Ridge, Tennessee. There is also a rooster, Clarence. For those of you who have read my Shady Valley books, Shady Valley was hit by the flood. Thankfully, they did not have the flooding, but they did lose power for several days. I received a call from our relatives, and they are all safe. Most of the damage was trees that fell across the roads on the mountains. The roads re open now. The Cranberry Festival will go on as planned October 12.
