This past weekend, we had a Ladies’ Night at church. I’ve been to a lot of these during my life, but this one was so good.
My mind is till buzzing. I don’t talk about religion on my blog much, but I am so excited. If you don’t know me very well, you probably don’t realize I’m a big Bible student. I love to read God’s Word. My mom instilled in my sister and me when we were young to study the Bible. I still read every day. I have a plan.
We have to have a plan if we study God’s Word, and we have to stick with it. I study early in the mornings before my mind gets full of other thing. My plan is my making. I read five chapters a day. That is not much, but when I got to Psalm 119, I decided it was the same as five chapters.
Why do I read each day? I’m going to be judged on what’s in The Book. If I don’t read, I won’t know the answers. The test is my life, not questions and answers. So, I read to be familiar with the people in the Bible. I’ll be able to sit with Jesus, Paul, Moses, etc. Can you imagine talking to them face to face? This excites me.
I would like to challenge you to read with me. If you read three chapters a day, you’ll finish the Old and New Testament in a year. There is so much to learn, and I never want to stop learning. Join me in studying God’s Word.
