The subject of choices has been running through my mind lately. We make choices each day. It begins the moment we wake up. We have a choice to get up or to stay in bed. The last choice loomed for a while this morning..
Early in my life, the choice of becoming a Christian was important to me. Joshua 24:15 comes to my mind, and I’ve tried to follow Josua’s example. “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” This has been my conviction all of my life. I must choose God.”
We forget and make bad choices sometime. No one can say we make perfect choices all the time. We have a choice.
Sunday, our preacher used a scripture I had not thought of before. I’m not new to reading the Bible, but even when we read it daily, there are things we don’t notice. Psalms 51:10 , “Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” This is my new favorite scripture.
