I\’m a little late this month. I can blame it on cancer, but I won\’t. It\’s everything that happens with cancer and beginning treatments.
With my diagnosis of cancer in July, I thought I had plenty of time to get ready for my book that releases October 5. I did not know someone was going to try to steal my identity a week before surgery. I spent my free time trying to keep our money in the bank and staying one step ahead of these criminals. That is not the way to enter surgery for breast cancer.
All is well now. My surgery is over, and I changed every account quickly. I will begin radiation next week.

My book releases October 5, on time. This series is very near to my heart. It\’s set in Shady Valley, Tennessee. My husband grew up in Shady Valley, and we love visiting family there. The title is Death by Doubloons. How do gold doubloons get to the mountains of East Tennessee? That\’s a teaser.
The heroine is Liberty Garcia. Her father was a treasure hunter in the Miami area, finding several sunken ships. He was murdered and now someone wants to murder her and get the doubloons.
There has to be a love interest, so Matt Sluder enters the picture.
The series is Nothing Shady Ever Happens in Shady Valley. This is the second book in the series. I love writing these cozy mysteries. I love my quirky characters. I hope you will enjoy them as well. As soon as I get the information to preorder from Amazon, I\’lll put it in a special post.
