This may be a short post. Last week we had some problems with our drains, which is not unusual for an older house. My husband went under the house and pulled the telephone line out of the wall accidentally. He has pieced the internet back together, but we are waiting for the repairman to come by Tuesday. This has been a fun week.
I am a writer. Each year, our writer\’s group has a conference. The planning starts early to get the right place for the conference and the perfect speakers. We are almost ready to announce KenTen Writers Conference.
We have a committee of four who have worked hard to get it all together. Each of us has one job to do, and that speeds things up. I would like to thank these ladies for their hard work. We can rest as soon as we get everything on the web. Diane Turpin is our web designer, Regina Merrick gets our program together and prints it, Pam Harris is our money person, and I arrange for our speakers.
This year our conference is June 20-22, 2022 in Martin, Tennessee. Our keynote speaker is DiAnn Mills. DiAnn spoke for us this year and we brought her back for a second time. She is an impressive speaker and an encourager of writers. She\’s also a very good romantic suspense writer, a Carol Award Winner, and a Christy Award Winner. We love DiAnn and her optimism.
The theme of our conference is The Writer\’s Game of Life. Remember the Game of Life we all played? My family loved it. One of our children has it now, but it brings back memories of fun nights and popcorn.
The information for our conference will be on kentenwriters.org. We have a writing contest in memory of our member, Sandra Robbins. This whole conference is a lot of fun. Like I said, if you are a writer, you will want to come. We hope to have everything on the web in a few days. We would love to see everyone.
