MY GLUTEN-FREE LIFE

\"\"We should all try to eat healthier, whether it is gluten-free or not. At our house we exercise by walking at least 3-10 miles a day. I don\’t do the ten, but my husband does. What has happened to us? We have lost weight and we feel so much better.

My biggest advice is to purchase a smart watch. You can see how many steps you take and how many miles you walk. You can also view the calories you have used during the day. I was put on 1,200 calories last year, and it has worked to help me to keep the weight off. I feel so much better also. Yes, I have more weight to lose, but I\’m working on it.

Our spiritual health is very important in our daily life. Read the Bible sometime during the day. Spend time with God in reading, studying, and praying. You will feel so much better toward your fellow man. Have a set time, if you can, to go into a room by yourself and study God\’s Word. You will not regret it.

Drink plenty of water. We need the water to flush our bodies. Most doctors will tell you to drink eight glasses of water a day. You can also go by ounces. Eight glasses of eight ounces of water is sixty-four ounces a day. That is really good for you to do. Take your weight and divide it in half. This is the amount of ounces of water you need to drink each day.

Do watch what you eat. Processed foods are full of fats and salt. Limit them as much as you can. Bread is another culprit. Sometimes it\’s hard for our bodies to digest gluten, but there is a lot of carbs in bread also. Be alert to what you eat. Learn to listen to your body. A friend of mine told me that years ago, and I\’ve listened to my body through the years. That is what led me to a gluten-free life.
