Through the years of publishing, one thing was asked the most by authors. When do I start marketing my book? That is an important question, and most authors begin when the book is published. That is so wrong.
You should begin to market your book when you begin writing your book. Isn\’t that too soon, you ask? No, it is not. There are several reasons.
- You are more enthused about your book than at any moment. You want to tell everyone about your book, even though you may not know how it is going to turn out.
- Begin a Street Team and write to them regularly. They should help you spread the word.
- Start talking about your book on Facebook and Instagram. I\’m new to Instagram, but I\’m learning a lot about using it.
- The more people learn about your book, the more books you will sell.
- Schedule interviews to release around the time your book releases.
- Set up an account with Pinterest and Goodreads. Post in both of these as you can.
These few things can help you increase your sales. This is the most important thing. You want people to know and remember your name. Do it early. Most people in marketing will tell you to do what I\’m telling you. Build your platform early. Don\’t forget your readers when your book is published. Keep them interested in what you are doing.
