A NEW ADVENTURE

\"\"

Welcome to my new website. Please come back and visit often.

Each of us has some adventure we love. Writing is mine. I love to develop new characters and watch them grow. From now on, I will be mostly writing. I still own a small portion of Mantle Rock Publishing LLC, but I will not solicit authors. It\’s time for me to have a new adventure.

I am very excited to share some of my stories with you. My newest series is set in Shady Valley, Tennessee. It is a real place with beautiful people and beautiful mountains. This is where my husband was raised. We still have family in the valley. My desire is to show the good in these people. All names to my knowledge have been changed to protect anyone living there. I did use the last names of the core of residents in the valley.

For the last two years, this story has been in my mind. I jotted down things I didn\’t want to forget, but I never had time to begin writing the story. My husband kept after me to finish it, and that is exactly what I am doing now.

My blog will include authors I love. I am excited to think about who will be my first author to interview. There are so many I love reading. The genre I turn to most is romantic suspense and cozy mysteries. I write cozy mysteries with a little romantic suspense. The title of the series is Nothin\’ Shady Ever Happens in Shady Valley. The first book is Daisy\’s Story. Each book in the series will have someone\’s story.

I love Daisy McQueen. She\’s built a business teaching people how to eat, exercise, and live smartly. She grew up in Miami, Florida, but she inherits her grandmother\’s farm in Shady Valley, Tennessee. Most people in the valley eat home cooking, fried everything. Daisy eats no fried food. She eats fresh cooked or raw vegetables, no meat, no sugar, no preservatives, you can imagine the rest. Her aim is to teach people how to eat well and exercise in the valley.

Upon Daisy\’s arrival at the farm, she finds a dead man in the cranberry bog behind her house. She also meets Harry Greer. Harry loves anything fried. Burgers are his main choice of lunch at the small diner in the valley. There is only one diner and one store.

I love the laid-back lifestyle of the valley. We lived there twice, but I loved it better the second time. I drove across the mountain to the grocery, got a lot of snow in the winter, the children went to school across the mountain on a school bus

. We farmed and milked cows. Great way to bring up children.

More will come about Daisy and Harry.
