EIGHTY-ONE AND LOVING IT!

\"\"Each day is a gift from God. We do not know whether we will even get through this day, but each of us should enjoy it to the fullest. Most older people have nothing to look forward to. Find something to look forward to each day.

Read a book. If you have trouble seeing, as I do, get a device you can read on. I have used a Kindle and enlarged the font, and I use an iPad now. If you have Alexa in your house, she will read for you. I didn\’t know that until recently, but if you download a book from Amazon, the Alexa will read it for you. So neat!

When you read a book, it takes you to a different place in your mind. Reading helps you to exercise your brain and fights of dementia. My iPad is full of books I have read or I will read.

Another book I have on my iPad is the Bible. I have problems seeing the print, and there is no large print Bible I can use. The font on my Bible is large, but I can see it. The version I have will read the Bible to me. I love this.

If you have grandchildren, read to them. Usually a child\’s book is in large print. I read I read to my children from the beginning of their life. I will attend a baby shower for my granddaughter. Instead of a card with the gift, she is asking for a book. An easy way to get a library started for a special child.

Enjoy today and all days you have. Find something beautiful.
