Happy Christmas Everyone!
This may be a day or two late, but I wish all of you the best of Season\’s Greetings. Most of us have so much to be thankful for.
I\’m writing this on the eve of a terrible storm in the US. The next few days will not be pleasant for most of us. Power lines will be down and some of us will have to put off Christmas because of that. My oldest grandson works for a construction company that builds power lines. He may be spending his Christmas making sure some of you have electricity. We are praying for his safety.
Next year we will have a wee one to enjoy Christmas with us. We are so excited to welcome a new member of the family, and I know Christmas will be so much better with this little fellow around.
The year of 2022 has been both good and bad. The tornadoes in our area on December 10, 2021 brought us lots of people volunteering to help those who has lost so much. We were busy at church with groups of people staying in our church building and working to help rebuild homes, barms, and helping where needed. We made wonderful new friends.
In June, I found out I had breast cancer. Not the most pleasant news to hear, but I had wonderful doctors, and I am now cancer free. I am so thankful for the radiology department at the hospital for finding the cancer early. It seemed like they jumped on it, and the treatment was successful. I go back for blood work in February.
We enjoyed a visit from my nephew and his wife from Scotland. It\’s always good to see family. We had a wonderful visit and we\’re blessed to have them a part of our family.
My wish for you for 2023 is good health and happiness. Enjoy your family and friends. Thank God for all His blessings. Happy New Year!
