How has COVID-19 changed your life? If you are a writer, you have probably found more time to write or have you? The best thing to do is to do something to take you mind away from what we cannot do anymore.
At first, it was fun to be able to cook more. My life changed in the middle of the virus. I sold most of my authors to another publishing company. I should have more time to cook and write, shouldn\’t I? I did find more time to make desserts, which was not the best thing. I also cooked more complete meals. I love to cook, but I hate the clean-up. Still, we found we had more time to do things around the house that we wanted to do.
Writing did take a second place, but I\’m back at writing now. I love to sit down at the computer and lose myself in my manuscript. I have always been a daydreamer, so I guess dreaming is why I like to write. I can go to another world and write about other people.
What do I miss? We have never been big on eating out. We ate out on Sunday after church. Now with restaurants closed, our meals have been at home. Also, I\’ve been put on a strict diet, and you can\’t find what I need to eat at a fast food restaurant. Fast food drive throughs are about the only thing opened now. Restaurants also give you mega amounts of food, which my body does not need.
Today I am writing. Really, I\’m editing and rearranging. My day will be pretty full with this one project. I\’m over the thought that I can\’t get out, and I\’m willing to cook and feed myself and my husband good food. Our world has changed dramatically in the last few months. My prayer is that we will get back to some form of normal before long.
